thursday thunkers week

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by THE THURSDAY THUNKERS!!!!!

These questions were submitted by last week's Thursday Thunk's participants! (so don't blame Kimber & Berleen for the quality of the questions.....)

1. Have you seen the new Star Trek movie, and if so what did you think?
No, but I want to. Because Sylar as Spock looks pretty hunky.

2. Which popular sitcom character (past or present) are you most like?
Chandler Bing. I am sardonic and misunderstood, always looking for the punchline. Don't understand my family and they don't understand me, and thus have made my friends into my family. Work in a job that nobody knows what it is, including myself. Feel most at home with those closest to me enjoying a cup of coffee or laughs around the Thanksgiving table.

3. What kind of dreams do you have?
Nightmares. Terrifyingly exhausting nightmares.
(I know I took that question in a different direction. It was deliberate.)

4. Bugger it. Go get a tattoo and come back. Right, now answer me this, what ees eet?
An ankh.

5. Do you think you could be on American Idol with the singing voice you have now without any voice training?
Hell no! That show has lost all its luster by the way. I didn't even watch the finale. Blech.

6. How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck? If a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

7. If you were a tree in a Dr. Seuss book, what would you look like?
I would not, could not in a tree. Not in a car! You let me be.

8. Twilight? I'm addicted/Who cares/What the hell is Twilight?
Who cares - haven't read it, watched it. Not gonna.

9. Do you think Kimber and Berleen do a dube while writing these questions?
"Do a dube"???? That is spoken like someone who has never actually done one.

10. What the worst injury you've ever had?
Heartbreak.

11. What is your favorite dessert?
Ice cream sundae.

12. What do you prefer...beach or mountains?
Beach. I love the ocean air, the sounds, the smells. The beach is one of the most soothing places in the world to me.

13. What movie have you seen that still make you cry?
Beaches.

14. Why are you making me submit a question? Are you too lazy to think of one yourself?
There are those of us who create memes and those of us who answer them. I don't think that those of us who answer them should be hating on the creators.

15. how often do you do laundry?
Two loads a day. Otherwise it swallows the house alive.

16. What is your favorite movie of all time, and why?
The Sound of Music. It has singing, tragedy, humor, heartache, war, clothes made out of curtains..... What's not to love?

17. If you won a million dollars in the lottery, would you keep working?
HEEELLLLLLLLLLL to the NOOOOOOOOOOO.
I won the Online Euro One Million Lottery again this week, and THAT was almost enough to get me to walk out the door.
Those who say yes either own the company, are crazy, or are liars.

18. If there was a war of the gummies, would you be on the gummi bear side or the gummi worm side?
Bears. The worms have no self-respect.

19. What's your favorite comic strip?
Right now, Dilbert. Mostly because I live it. Sadly.

20. Close your eyes… imagine you are in the perfect room/place… describe it.
Toss up - it's either some little beachy cottage getaway or a villa in Tuscany.

....to be continued next week.... (you didn't want all 40-some questions this week, did you?)
No.

robbing the place, cracks, blogs, geographical locations and other fun stuff

Welcome to the May 14th version of Thursday Thunks!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, taken over by Berleen, the color carrot orange and the number 94.

1. You are at the store when suddenly 2 men walk in with guns and rob the place. Are you the hero, quiet & follow the rules type, or try to make a run for it?
I have always heard "Give them your purse and save your life." But I think doing nothing would haunt me for a long time. If people organize and work together, they can change the world.

2. Do you like Twizzlers?
I do. But only the yummy red ones. Not those terrible icky black ones. They are a family road trip staple.

3. Are you a YouTube watcher?
As in, do I sit around watching YouTube instead of tv? Uh, no. If someone says, "Hey! Go check out this funny thing on YouTube!" or "OMG - you missed the best skit ever on SNL last night!" or "I LOVE the 90s! Remember Bust-a-Move?" or "You're having a bad day? Go watch that baby laugh for three minutes!" or "Did they re-release the HP6 trailer?" Then, yeah. YouTube baby. Only with purpose.
(Oh, and I have been trying to find that cell phone commercial where the teen girl doesn't have a phone so she calls her friend with her hand... Anyone seen that?)

4. When a auto glass store calls you and asks if you have a chip or crack in your windshield, what do you tell them?
Is this one of those "Is your refrigerator running?" type jokes???

5. What is the age difference between you and your father?
26 years. I had to stop and think. I never know how old my parents are. And I'm starting to be in denial about my own age. So by that math.... 32 years.

6. Have you ever tried to find the end of a rainbow?
I think for a minute as a kid I believed that if I could find it there would be a pot of gold and leprechauns and such. I drew pictures of this all the time. Now I know better. My friend Rachel had a surreal experience where she drove through the end of a rainbow - she says it was incredible.

7. Camping - recreational vehicle or tent?
Tent, baby. But I would not be above a pop-up or RV if one should happen to be supplied to me.

8. Have you ever had to call 9-1-1?
Not that I can recall. ER visits on the other hand... more than I prefer.

9. Who is your favorite blog in the Thursday Thunk bloggers to visit?
I randomly visit a couple whenever I do it. I'm not consistent, thus haven't found one I consistently follow yet. What of you? Suggestions? Who's funny? I like the funny.

10. How long do you think you could live locked in your house on the food that you have on hand right now?
6 weeks, 4 days, and 17 minutes. For real though, probably a while. But it wouldn't be that appetizing after about two weeks when I started just throwing crap together. Fortunately we just picked up produce and milk yesterday. There's plenty of odds and ends in the pantry and freezer. After that, it would be pancakes for awhile. Actually, now that I think about it, probably we could go months before even coming close to dying of starvation.

11. Pepper - shaker or grinder?
Grind it up, baby! ( I think that's the third or forth time I've used the word baby. 'Sup wit dat?)

12. What state (or country if you are not in the US) is 2 states west of you? Pennsylvania. I think. Even with the map RIGHT THERE I didn't bother to squint and check.

13. What color do you believe you look best in?
I don't feel good in anything. I wear too much black. Maybe TEAL?

and once again... next week is Thursday Thunkers Questions... so....

14. What is your question submission for next week?
What is your favorite movie of all time, and why?
(Hope it's not too lame!.... My question, not your favorite movie....baby.)

more random stuff about me.....

More random stuff about me.....

I don't like potato chips.
I LOVE ice cream. I let it mostly melt before I eat it.
I am temperature sensitive, and don't like things too hot or too cold.
American Idol has lost its luster for me.
I heart Facebook.
Every day I am a little bit of a better person than I was the day before.
I am always learning, always growing.
I've tried life without caffeine, and I don't like it that way.
I don't prefer icky things, but I don't mind them. No, I don't want to see your scar. But it wouldn't gross me out if I did.
Warm chocolate chip cookies are my favorite.
I can't imagine life without music.
I can't stop being sarcastic for more than a few minutes at a time.
There is never enough time - not enough kid time, not enough friend time, not enough vacation time....
I love my cats, but I don't generally like pets.
I love my girls, but I don't generally love kids.
I hate decisions that are not thought out.
I hate lies, and liars, and people who mask the truth. It is a good way to push me away and make me never trust you.
Trust is one of my most cherished possessions.
I don't like that I don't have any family close by.
I love mail.
I am bad at all of the qualities I like in a person.
I scream too much, I don't like it, I can't stop.
I care more about people than they know or than I am able to show.
I notice beauty in everyday things. I see the way light reflects on water, rain paints a landscape, spring renews our surroundings...
I love jewelry and don't take good care of it so it never lasts long enough.
I don't look good in glasses or hats, which bugs me because I like to wear them. My sisters and daughters and niece all look amazing in glasses and hats.
One of the things I hate about talking on the phone is getting off. My sister and I usually end when one of us says "I have nothing else to say." "Ok." And we hang up.
I am sick and tired of hearing the side effects of medication in commercials. I don't understand why the side effects of a medication sound worse than the thing they are curing.
Water is my favorite drink.
AND captain and coke.
AND stoli razz, cranberry, and a splash of sprite.
I hate that the last one doesn't have a name, but every bartender knows how to make it.
The show Criminal Minds scares the bejesus out of me, but I love to watch it anyway.
Anything scary that is potentially realistic scares me to death (serial killers, someone's hiding in the dark, kind of stuff). Freddy and Jason, not so much.

I have nothing else to say.....
